Success for members with their new PING Clubs
Firstly, congratulations to Ros Grey and David Watt who won the Wells Cup after a playoff. Ros was recently fitted for the new PING Rhapsody ladies irons and woods and its great to see these having an instant positive impact of her performance. Lastly, on Monday Ely senior member, Alan Munday, had his first hole in one on the 12th using his new PING clubs that he purchased after a fitting at our recent demo day.
Well done to you both and hopefully this is just the start of more golfing success.
Ely City Golf Club Pro-Am
On Friday, 21 August we will be holding our annual PGA Pro-Am where you have the opportunity to play alongside one of the top East Region Professionals. Your day will include Coffee and Bacon roll upon arrival, 18 holes with a PGA Professional, BBQ at the halfway house, a two course meal after your round and the chance to win some superb prizes worth over £1500 supported by PING.
You can enter the Pro-Am as a team of three or as an individual and we can make a team for you. The cost to enter is £80 per person and is one of the highlights of the golf clubs calendar.
Junior Open
Entry forms are available for our Junior Open which is to be held on Thursday, 6 August. If you know of any junior golfers at other clubs please let them know. Entry forms are on the website or available on the junior notice board or from the office.
The club is also looking for sponsorship to help with prizes on the day. To try and get as many juniors as we can competing we purposely keep the entry fee low so any help with donations, however small, towards the prize fund would be much appreciated.
PING had a fantastic weekend of golf, winning 3 different tournaments all with G30. Click on the image to find out more.
