Ely City Pro-Am Start Times – PLEASE CHECK YOUR TEE TIME

The Ely City PGA Pro-Am is taking place on Tuesday, 22 August and below you can see the start times for the Professional’s and the teams.

If you are playing in the Pro-Am please check the list to find your time and if you have any questions please contact us as soon as possible.

Remember as part of your entry fee you have bacon rolls and coffee available before you play so arrive with plenty of time to spare, plus a two course sit down meal with your team professional after your round. We look forward to welcoming you on the day.

Callaway Demo Day

Last Saturday Callaway came along to Ely for a demo day in perfect sunny conditions (unlike the heavy rain last Wednesday for the PING  demo).

Thank you to everyone who came along and supported the demo day. Our next Callaway demo day probably won’t be until next year but we will update you if that changes.

Coming soon – limited edition Odyssey O-Works Red putters

The exciting new line up of Odyssey O-Works red putters will be in the pro shop over the coming weeks. These putters are taking the professional tours by storm. Using the deep red colour on the putters gives a great contrast against the grass making them easier to align.

These putters incorporate the micro-hinge technology of the O-Works range which helps to promote a better roll on the ball when you are putting. Keep an eye out in the Pro Shop for these superb looking putters.

TaylorMade Spider Putters – now in stock

If you watch golf on the PGA, European and LPGA Tours you will no doubt have seen the TaylorMade Spider putters being used.

Two special models were introduced after Jason Day and Dustin Johnson had black and red models made after giving their feedback and what they would like to see when putting.

The success and hype around these putters compare to when Odyssey first introduced the two-ball putter over 14 years ago. Come along to the Pro Shop and try these great putters for yourself and see what all the hype is about.

Choose the right ball

Not only is playing with the same model of golf ball each round important for your consistency, but you need to make sure that you’re taking to the course with a ball that suits your game and feel preferences. Comparing different balls is a great way to narrow down what you are after.

Scoring system

During a chat about your goals, price range and personal preferences we can make a few ball recommendations for you to go and try. Why not use the above scoring system when out on the course to determine which ball is best for your game?

Side-by-side testing should make it easier to notice any preferences you have, but if you don’t have a clear winner we’d always recommend prioritising the ball you prefer around the greens, as this is where you take the majority of your shots and what influences your final score the most.
