PING G30's fly out the door
Last Friday PING launched the new G30 range of clubs. The response from our members has been fantastic and the performance of the new G30's is excellent. Below you can see Ely City member, Barry Broad with his new G30 Driver. Both Barry and another member who bought a G30 have said how easy they are to hit and with the added benefit of Straight Flight Technology shots that slice are a thing of the past.
PING Demo Day
To coincide with the launch of the PING G30 range I have organised for PING to come to Ely City Golf Club on Wednesday the 3rd of September for a demo day. The demo day will run from 10 till 3 and all the latest equipment will be available for you to try. Do you want to hit it further? Ever wondered why you wear gloves out so quickly?
Did you know one of the most common causes of lack of distance is the way you hold the golf club? In my opinion unless you grip the golf club in your fingers you may never reach your true potential. We see so many members and visitors holding the golf club to high and across the palm. Below you can see three pictures which relate to how a poor left hand grip looks and also the impact it has on your backswing.
Now if you look at the pictures below you will now see how the club is sitting more in my fingers. This not only allows you to hinge the club with more freedom in the backswing but it will also help you square the clubface at impact reducing the likelihood of a shot that curves to the right. Notice in the picture below how much stronger the backswing looks when the left arm stays straighter. Next time you come to the Pro Shop ask us to check your grip or find out more by booking a golf lesson (Click here).
