2014 Golf Trade show at Harrogate
This week I went up to Harrogate for the 2014 Golf Trade Show. This trade show is the largest of its kind in the UK and all of the major manufacturers were there showing off their latest products. Something I also looked forward to was attending a seminar by the Short Game coach to Phil Mickleson, Dave Pelz. This is a very rare opportunity to hear Dave talk about his ideas and methods as he usually charges $10,000 a day, yes that's right $10,000! Below you can see a few pictures from the trade show including Dave Pelz and myself.
In the pictures you can see the Titleist stand where they were show casing the new 915 product range; this includes a new line of drivers, fairway woods and hybrids. Fittings for these new clubs will be available at the national fitting centre at St Ives in the coming weeks. Also as you can see FootJoy have a mind blowing selection of shoes for the 2015 season. One of the hardest jobs I have is to narrow this range down to what I will be stocking next season. While at the show I also spent some time talking to the guys at Oakley about their product range for 2015.
On Thursday I attended the Golf Show Teaching Conference where the headline speaker was Dave Pelz. During the seminars Dave spoke about the secrets of the short game and how to hole more putts under pressure. During the show I placed an order for a fantastic golf swing teaching aid which will be arriving at the golf club in a few days. Once this arrives we will detail how all members can benefit from having a lesson with this device, especially when incorporated with the latest Bluetooth golf swing analysers.
We will update you all in the coming newsletters about the exciting new products that the Pro Shop will stock next year.
