Ely City Golf Club Pro Am - Tuesday 20th August 2019 - Enter your team NOW!

On Tuesday 20th August the Ely City Golf Club PGA Pro-Am will take place and it’s now open for entry. We have already had a few entries so if you are thinking about playing in this event this year don’t delay.

If you are interested or would like to play click here for the traditional entry form and we will do the rest. We would love to see lots of member’s teams at this day so check your diary now.

If you wish to enter the Pro Am the entry fees are:

Members £80 each / £240 a team & Non-members £90 / £270 a team.

The Ely City Golf Club PGA Pro Am has been a huge success over the years and is a must attend event for Professionals, members and non-members alike. To avoid missing out on this great event and being in with a chance to win some superb prizes please contact us as soon as possible.

Titleist Fitting Day at St Ives National Fitting Centre

I’m pleased to announce I have been able to secure the use of the Titleist national fitting Centre for Ely City Golf Club members on Tuesday 4th June. We have a limited number of fitting times available which can be used for driver, fairway, irons or wedge fittings.

The golden combo

What would you say if we could show you a way of achieving greater accuracy and longer distance from the tee? You would say yes, right? Well, here’s your answer…

Have you been custom fitted?

First things first, the easiest way to achieve the holy grail of long, straight drives is to find the middle of the clubface every time, which is easier said than done for most of us. Following that, it’s all about launching your drives high with a good spin rate.

Simple, right?

It doesn’t matter how fast or smoothly you swing, if the clubhead and shaft are a bad match for the way you play, your chances of sending a perfect drive into the air will be seriously hampered.

So, the very first thing we need to do is get you fitted correctly. During the process, we will chat about your game, watch you hit some balls, and assess what you have told us in order to find the right shaft/head combination for your game.
