Improve your golf swing immediately

It has been another good week here at the Pro Shop especially as the Plane Swing training aid has helped more members understand the golf swing. The feedback we receive on a daily basis is centred on how simple the golf swing feels when using the Plane Swing and how golfer's distances improved. This is the perfect time of year to invest in your game and start to benefit immediately from using the Plane Swing. The Plane Swing can be used during a lesson to make your golf more enjoyable and lower your scores or if you wish to hire the Plane swing for a practice session please come and see us. To book a lesson with either Paul, Jamie or I please get in CLICK HERE or come and see us in the Pro Shop.

Don't delay, starting improving TODAY!

Here are a few examples of some of our members before and after using the Plane Swing:

The picture on the right was before using the Plane Swing and as you can see the downswing was too steep resulting in a loss of distance especially as the clubs got longer. In the lefthand picture the downswing is now in a flatter position resulting in a more inside approach to the golf ball and as a result the strike and ball flight improved instantly.

Here you can see in the left hand picture a more on plane backswing thanks to the Plane Swing training aid. In the picture on the right the backswing is too flat and laid off resulting in an over the top move to start the downswing.

Lady Captain & Pro Challenge

On Wednesday I had the pleasure of playing alongside the Lady Captain as we challenged the rest of the ladies. The format for the day was four ball better ball stableford with a full handicap allowance giving everyone a fair chance of getting as many points as possible. Binnie and I played pretty well and managed to get 40 points which proved unbeatable on the day. However this score didn't beat everyone as the team of Pat Nixon and Ros Grey also got a total of 40 points. Jan Stuart-Menteath and Linda Steele finished in second with 39 points while the team of Val Child and Marion Hough who got 37 points and finished in third.

Below you can see a few pictures from the day including the Lady Captain and myself with our playing partners Ruthie Ashton and Ann Russell, some action shots of Ruthie, Ann and the Lady Captain. Also you can see a few pictures of the prize winners from the day.

Make your clubs feel like new

This week we have set up a grip display area in the Pro Shop so you can see that variety of grips we have to offer and this also gives you a chance to find out more about the correct grip size for you. If you want to make your clubs feel like new and lower your scores come and see us in the Pro Shop to discuss your needs.

WARNING!!!

A few days ago one of our members had an issue with a battery they purchased with a new electric trolley from a local discount golf store. After some investigation it turns out this NEW trolley was actually THREE years old! Please beware when purchasing goods from stores like this as sometimes things aren't always as good as they seem.

Here at the Pro Shop we pride ourselves on offering a first class service and guarantee the trolley you purchase won't be more than a few days old. We also offer a first class backup service if you have purchased the trolley from us, for instance if your trolley was to breakdown or you forget to charge your battery we will be on hand to help you out. This is our way of thanking you for supporting us.

Glenmuir crested clothing

Glenmuir lambswool

Glenmuir's sweaters are ideal for this time of year when the temperatures drop. Ask us about cresting as well, as we can arrange for your Glenmuir sweater to have the club badge.

Nike Golf Hyperadapt

Of course we'd rather we never had to battle the elements, but when we do we need to be able to rely on a set of weaterproofs that don't restrict our golf swing. They don't come much better than these...
