Last week saw Europe's best golfers compete for the BMW PGA Championship held at Wentworth in Surry. Over the 4 days some superb golf was played including 5 holes in one and a record breaking winning score of 21 under par by Ben An. Friend of Ely City, David Howell unfortunately couldn't continue his good run of form and sadly missed the cut. This week's European Tour stop is in Northern Ireland for the Irish Open hosted by the Rory Foundation, Rory Mcilroy's charity.

COMING SOON
Do you know how far it is to carry the water on the 2nd hole?
Is your 8 iron really your 150 yard club?
Well you can now take the guess work out with the industries number 1 GPS measuring device, Skycaddie. Skycaddie are the only company that will actually walk each and every course to map the holes and hazards to give you unbeatable accuracy were other companies use Google Maps. If you own a GPS that isn't a Skycaddie check the 1st hole and see if the fairway bunker on the left is still there! If it is they are using Google Maps rather than mapping the course for you. Another great feature of the Skycaddie range is that you can measure your shots so that you know exactly how far you hit your clubs. You'll be amazed how much more confidence you have when you know how far you hit each club and know the yardage is correct for the shot in hand.
Prices start from just £129 and not all Skycaddie devices require a subscription so come along to the Pro Shop to find out more and try the top of the range Touch model during a round.
