Here is a picture I took last week of the senior ladies who play most weeks.
I just thought it would be nice to acknowledge these ladies in my newsletter as they are such great characters and form a fantastic part of this club.
The 2015 Ely City Golf Club Pro-Am
On Friday it is the annual Ely City PGA Pro Am. We have been working hard this year and as a result there are now 34 teams taking part which is a big increase on last year. If you are playing in the event please make sure you know your tee time and allow plenty of time to register and have a bacon roll and coffee before you play. There will be a full report in next week's newsletter.
Coaching Success
In the last few weeks two of our senior members, Ray Rice and Frank Bowles, have been investing in their golf and had a couple of golf lessons with my assistant Paul Geen. Well these lessons seem to have paid off as on Monday Ray Rice was the winner of the senior's (over 70's) 9 hole championship. In his speech Ray thanked Paul for all his help and complimented him on working with what he had rather than trying to rebuild his swing from scratch.
If you want to play better golf get in touch with us here at the Pro Shop. You are lucky enough to have three fully qualified PGA Professionals with over 50 years combined experience in the golf industry. Golf lessons will be tailored to your needs and we will help to lower your scores and increase your enjoyment.
Ray is proof that they really do work. To find out more about lessons either email us here or call us on 01353 663317.
